Paidha Black Angels fires deputy CEO
The acting deputy Chief Executive Officer of Paidha Black Angles FC, Fred Akena has been suspended indefinitely for alleged fraud and incompetence.
In an April 6 letter, the Club Chairperson, Rasul Oryem claims that Akena has been receiving money on behalf of the club on numerous occasions without accounting for it.
He cited the sale of Cromwell Rowthomiyo to Uganda Revenue Authority-URA FC.
He also says Akena has failed to accomplish several administrative duties including completing the process of licensing 9 players the club bought during the January transfer window.
The club also accuses Akena for not following the rightful communication channels fueling confusion among players, the technical team and managers.
Akena describes the accusations leveled against him as baseless, saying he will continue striving for the betterment of the club.
He hopes the Club survives relegation now that he is off the team.
