Kiwanda showcases Uganda’s tourism in Berlin

Uganda’s State Minister for Tourism and Wildlife, Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi is in Berlin, Germany for the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB Berlin) to market Uganda’s tourism potential in a strategy that seeks to make the Pearl of Africa a preferred travel destination.

ITB Berlin, said to be the world’s leading travel trade show, is attended annually by over 10,000 companies and organisations from 186 countries exhibiting their products and services to about 170,000 visitors, including 110,000 trade visitors.

Kiwanda’s delegation has Grace Aulo (Commissioner Tourism), Lilly Ajarova (Chief Executive Officer, Uganda Tourism Board) and Susan Muhwezi, the Chairperson Uganda Hotel Owners Association (UHOA) in addition to about 30 Uganda tour operators, 14 hoteliers and 10 independent trade visitors.
