Better PLE grades in Busoga excite Kadaga
The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has hailed the Busoga Education Trust for contributing to the improvement of education standards the Busoga sub-region.
Going by this year’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results, Kadaga said that there is a noticeable improvement in the sub-region’s performance.
“In the past, I would up the Busoga results from the bottom of the page but this year, I went up,” Kadaga said.
She was speaking at the launch a roadmap for the Busoga Consortium, a platform that brings together different stakeholders including religious leaders, political actors business people, Kyabazingaship, friends and people of Busoga sub-region.
She said that, the improvement in PLE performance was due to concerted efforts by the Busoga Education Trust.
She urged that the people of Busoga to make use of the many resources in their region for development transformation.
Kadaga mentioned the good climate, soils, minerals, and the lakes among others as useful resources that the public can use to have development projects.
Under the Busoga consortium, different stakeholders will converge in Jinja in April for an international conference to discuss several items in line of transforming the region.
