Police kills 3 in foiled Jinja armed robbery

Police in Jinja have  shot dead three suspected armed robbers who were allegedly planning to rob a businessman dealing in fish.

According to police, two of the robbers were gunned down at Masese in Jinja municipality and were found with two AK-47 guns which the police believes were to be used in the robbery.

“The third robber (has also been) put out of action, AK 47 recovered, bodies delivered to Jinja hospital mortuary. Only one identified as Lukwago, others yet to be identified,” the police on their social media.

The three were moving a Toyota  Premio registration number  UAP 449S which was impounded and towed to  Jinja Police station as investigations on the matter continue.
