After 8 years, Ken Lukyamuzi finally gets Law degree

Former Lubaga South MP John Ken Lukyamuzi has at long last graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Makerere University.

The Conservative Party president is among Makerere University’s graduates that took longer periods complete their journey through Uganda’s leading university, taking eight years to complete a four-year course.

He enrolled for degree after he got re-elected to Parliament in 2011 but failed to find a proper balance between his political and academic demands.

At the time, radioman Paul Kato Lubwama, popular for the morning comical sports show on CBS FM begun mobilising to unseat the maverick politician who ended up losing concentration at the law school.

With accumulated retakes, Lukyamuzi was given a stay put from the university in 2014 for having more retakes in a single year.

After losing the Constituency to Lubwama, Lukyamuzi found more time to concentrate in class which has paid off with his graduation today.

With the law degree in his possession, Lukyamuzi will now focus on reclaiming his Parliamentary seat in 2021.
