SC Villa’s losing streak continues

Despite putting up a spirited fight against KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League game played at Mandela National stadium Namboole, SC Villa extended its losing streak to four games in a row.

The 16-time league champions showed signs of recovery when Albert Mugisha put them in the lead in the 13th only for KCCA’s Julius Poloto to cancel it out with a 17th minute equaliser.

KCCA were put in the lead in 32nd minute when Villa’s Manco Kaweesa scored an own goal.

The jogoos equalised in the 45th minute through Bashir Mutanda keeping the game on level until the 60th minute when KCCA FC’s Jackson Nunda scored the winner.

SC Villa remains without a win in 7 games which has kept it among the three teams at the bottom of the league table.

In other games, BUL FC and URA FC settled for a goalless draw at Jinja while Ndejje University FC was humbled in front of its home crowd by Brightstars FC.
