SC Villa woes deepen with a loss to Mbarara

SC Villa continued its worrying run in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a loss to Mbarara City FC.

Mbarara City FC playing home at Kavumba Recreation Centre opened the scoring Asuman Harishe just before the break but Villa equalised in the 62nd minute through Bashir Mutanda.

The hosts however proved that they were no match for Sc Villa as Paul Mucerezi scored the winner in the 75th minute.

At St Mary’s stadium Kitende, champions SC Vipers were held to a 1-all draw by KCCA FC.

Vipers were put in the lead in 34th minute by Dan Sserunkuma but had their lead cancelled out in the 47th minute with a Filbert Obenchan equaliser.

In Arua, visitors, Express FC got an emphatic win over Paidha Black Angels with three goals coming from Tony Odur, Ibrahim Kayiwa and Mubarak Nsubuga.

Paidha Black Angels got a consolation in the 25th minute when Andrew Kidega converted a penalty kick.

In Jinja, BUL FC walloped newcomers Ndejje University FC 4:1.

Daniel Shabena scored twice for the home side with the other goals for BUL FC coming from Hamis Tibita and Deogratius Ojok.

Ndejje University FC’s goal came from a 46th penalty kick converted by Dickens Kilama.

At Mwererwe, Brightstars FC also had the same scoreline against Kirinya Jinja SS.

Augustine Kacancu, Nelson Ssenkatuuka who scored a brace and Brian Kayanja scored for the home team while Kirinya Jinja SS’ lone goal came from a 62nd penalty kick converted by Fred Amaku.

In Fort Portal, it was a goalless draw between Tooro United FC and Onduparaka FC.
