Uganda beats Lethoso in Afcon qualifier
A brace from Emmanuel Okwi and a superb penalty kick converted by Farouq Miya gave Uganda maximum points from its encounter with Lesotho at the Mandela National Stadium Namboole.
Okwi scored the opener in the 11th minute of the game before finding the net again in the 63rd minute when he headed in a cross from Miya on the left frank.
Miya had in the 36th scored from the spot after Okwi was fouled in the box.
The Uganda Cranes stretched their lead of Group L to seven points above Cape Verde which beat Tanzania with the same goal margin is second on the table with four points.
Lesotho is placed third on the table with two points while Tanzania has a single point.
Uganda meets Lesotho again on Tuesday in Maseru, the capital of the South African country for the return leg.
