4 family members die in Luweero accident

A family visit to Walusi hill in Luweero to pay homage to the ancestors turned tragic when they all died in a motor accident on their way back to Kampala.

The accident occurred at about 4:30pm at Wobulenzi in Luweero when their car, a Toyota Vitz UAS 163T rammed into an oncoming Fuso truck.

According to Paul Kangave, the Savannah region police spokesman, the driver of the Vitz tried to overtake a trailer but on realising that there was an on coming car, he tried to break but the breaks failed.

The Fuso truck UAR 162G knocked the Vitz on the side and pushed it off the road.

All the four occupants of Vitz died on spot.
They have been identified as Florence Nankumbi (28 years), Patience Najjuma (28 years), Richard Lule (30 years) and Isaac Mbogo (32 years).
