Betway Kobs unveil new players ahead of season opener

In a move to strengthen their team ahead of this weekend’s opener of the 2018/19 rugby league, Betway Kobs have unveiled 10 new players.

The players were unveiled before the journalists on Wednesday at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

They include, Robert Aziku who has been playing for Rhinos, Ivan Kirabo who has been playing for Kabras in Kenya and Joseph Aredo.

Others are, Fred Ochan, David Agassi , Joshua Obol , Donald Oketayot , Daniel Otega , Isaac Tago and Sula Wanda.

Long time absentee Oscar Kalyango who has been nursing an injury is expected to be back for club duties next Tuesday.

The club also named Fred Mudoola as its head coach.

He will be deputised by Edmond Tumusiime who has been the team coach.
Mudoola was Betway Kobs head coach the second last time they won the league title.

The club’s first match will be this weekend against Walukuba in Jinja in Uganda cup.

The club also unveiled its new high-quality kit that was manufactured by the renowned rugby kit manufacturers SAMURA.
