Crested Cranes fly past Swaziland in COSAFA opener

Uganda national women soccer team Crested Cranes has won 4-3 against Swaziland in the just started COSAFA women soccer tournament.

Hasifah Nassuuna scored a brace to give Crested Cranes a winning start as Resty Nanziri and Norah Alupo each scored once.

The Crested Crane is a guest team from CECAFA region in the two weeks tournament.
Crested Cranes head coach Faridah Bulega believes the tournament will give mileage and exposure to the girls beyond East African region.

In less than three months, this is the second tournament for Crested Cranes after CECAFA women tournament where they finished second behind eventual winners Tanzania.

However despite winning the opening game, Faridah Bulega has warned players to avoid being complacent since it was join just opening game.

Uganda is in group alongside Zimbabwe Namibia and Swaziland.
