Bobi Wine’s driver shot dead in Arua chaos
Campaigns in the Arua Municipality by-elections ended on a bloody note after the police shot dead Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s driver, Yasin Kawuma.
Violence broke out at sunset as supporters of the NRM candidate Nusurah Tiperu ran into those of Kassiano Wadri as they held processions on the streets of Arua town.

Tiperu had just hosted President Yoweri Museveni at Boma grounds while Tiperu had hosted Bobi Wine plus MPs Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality), Paul Mwiru (Jinja Municipality East) and Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality) at Prisons grounds.
Police first fired teargas to disperse the crowds but later on opened gunfire, shooting Kawooya who died instantly.
Meanwhile soldiers believed to be from President Museveni’s Special Forces Command (SFC) cordoned off Pacific Hotel where Bobi Wine and a group of other MPs as well as political activists were holding a post campaign rally evaluation meeting.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the MPs have been arrested by the SFC
