KCCA FC to take on Al Ahly in Namboole

Uganda representatives in the CAF champions league Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC will this Tuesday take on Egyptian giants Al Ahly at Mandela national stadium.

KCCA FC lost their first group game away in Botswana to Township Rollers as Al Ahly settled for a goalless draw with Esperance.

The Ugandan side will now have to battle in the second group A game to be played at the home ground in Namboole.

KCCA FC is the first Ugandan side to play in CAF Champions’ league group stages and coach Mike Mutebi hopes to turn tables in the Tuesday game after losing the group opener.

Mutebi says he is aware Al Ahly will give KCCA FC a big challenge but KCCA is ready to put in their best.

“It wouldn’t be disastrous losing to Al Ahly because we still have some games to play. I believe we have the capacity even to go away and get the results,” said Mutebi ahead of the game.

Two players; Sadam Juma and Muzamir Mutyaba who missed the opening game in Botswana due to injuries are like to be given chance to play in Tuesday game.
