SC Villa suspends assistant coach

SC Villa chief executive officer Valley Mugwanya has suspended assistant coach Paul Mukatabala indefinitely.

However after two weeks of the indefinite suspension, Mukatabala is subjected to appear before club’s disciplinary committee to answer on concerns of misbehavior.

In the letter Mugwanya said that Mukatabala walked away from club’s training before its climax bitterly without proper reason to the club authorities.

Mukatabaka also complained about SC Villa head coach Wasswa Bbosa via social media saying that he has some improper conduct.

Bbosa confronted Mukatabala (his assistant), after SC Villa had lost to UPDF 1-0 in Bombo on Saturday. Bbosa was of the view that Villa lost due to poor substitutions Mukatabala made.

However Mukatabala’s action has more attracted the attention of the club authorities since it went on social media.

“The club has received reports of your misconduct and behavior where your recent actions have tarnished the Club’s image,” reads part of the letter.

Mugwanya indicated that Mukatabala is expected to behave as a leader off and on pitch and therefore all what he did was not in line with club authorities expectations hence deserved suspension and disciplinary committee appearance.

Despite Mukatabala being ordered to respond to the letter soon after receiving it, he is yet to respond.

But before the suspension, Mukatabala himself had vowed not to go back to Villa Park until his misunderstandings with head coach Wasswa Bbosa sorted out by club management.

SC Villa are third in league at 53 points with three games left to end the league.
