KCCA fc, Synergy in tight Uganda cup semi contest

Uganda cup title holders Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC have been drawn against Big league side Synergy fc in the semifinals of this year’s Stanbic Uganda cup.

In the draws held today at FUFA house in Mengo on Wednesday, the 2015 Stanbic Uganda cup title holders SC Villa have also been drawn against 2016 holders Vipers SC.

This years semis are expected to be totally competitive games with both sides hungry for title and also the that rivalry between the two sides is at its best.

Vipers this season hasn’t lost to SC Villa after winning 1-0 home and away against in league with Daniel Sserunkuma scoring for Vipers in both sides’ meeting in Masaka recently and Tom Masiko scoring when Vipers hosted SC Villa in Kitende.

First leg of the semi-finals will be played between 23rd – 27th May with return leg slated to take place between 30th and 31st May.

SC Villa will host Vipers first and Synergy has been drawn to host KCCA FC before return leg at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende and StarTimes Stadium Lugogo respectively.
