Vipers four points away from league title


Kitende based side Vipers settled for a 1-all draw with Kirinya jinja SS at Kakindu stadium in Jinja.

Moses Waiswa scored for Vipers in second half of the game , to catch up with Ismail Kawawulo’s goal that he had earlier in first half for home side Kirinya jinja ss.

Despite dropping two points, with two games to end the league, Vipers will need four points from the available six to win their third league title.
Vipers is still on top of the table with 59 points now.

In other games Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC title hopes are still alive after they won 2-0 against Proline in Lugogo derby.

The league’s defending champions are now second on table with 54 points after 27 games, five points behind table leaders Vipers.

In Namboole, the tax collectors, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC settled for a goalless draw with relegation battlers Masavu fc.

This has been Coach Sam Ssimbwa’s third game at URA FC as interim coach though is yet to win any game.
