Van Pee ready for challenge upon return to Motor cross
The third round of the Uganda national motor-cross championship has been launched today in Lugogo with national motor cross team captain back in play.
The round will be held in Busiika on May 13 with over 60 riders from different classes prepared to take part in this event
After over six month on sideline, team captain Maxim Van Pee will be back on track. Maxim who has been out with knee injury went under surgery in Belgium last year where he was advised to step aside for some months.
“I am happy to be back though not yet recovered fully but I know I can compete now. I expect much competition especially from my brother Olivier, Arthur Blick and Asaf Natan,” said Maxim.
He says he is determined to win the contest and maintain his record.
Meanwhile this will be the first event for the Lira municipality member of Parliament Jimmy Akena as the vice president in charge of motocross.
During the launch, Akena admitted that this is a big challenge being new in the position but ready to steer riders to develop their skills in game of motocross.
“Preparations are going on for the third round. It’s not so easy as a new member but am ready for the task ahead,” said Akena who has two riders (Akena Obote and Milton Akaki) in game of motocross.
