Vipers in Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-finals

Azam Uganda Premier league table leaders Vipers SC have qualified for the Stanbic Uganda cup semi-finals after they stopped lower division side Kansai Plascon 1-0.

In a game played in Ntawo-Mukono, former Express fc striker Daniel Sserunkuma scored the lone goal for the Vipers in the second half of the game.

The 2016 Stanbic Uganda cup winners join; SC Villa, KCCA FC and Synergy to complete the semifinal log of this year’s knock out tournament.

Semi-finals will be played on home and away basis and dates will be announced after the draws which are slated for early next month (May).

Stanbic Uganda cup finals are slated for early June in Teso region where the winner who is also entitled to represent Uganda in the next year’s CAF Confederations cup will be crowned.

KCCA FC are the tournament’s defending champions after they beat Paidah Black Angels last year 2-0 in a game played in Arua.
