Police FC terminates Abdullah Mubiru’s contract

Police football Club has terminated the three year contract of head coach Abdallah Mubiru.

IntelPost learns that the decision to terminate the contract comes after a heavy 5-0 loss to Onduparaka on Friday.

Though Mubiru and his technical staff attended the Saturday training, a phone call from top club official stopped Mubiru and his backroom staff from duty.

While Police FC is yet to come out with an official statement about the club’s coaching role, its believed that former SC Villa coach Deo Sserwadda will act as caretaker coach at the Kibuli based side.

Mubiru’s assistants; John Luyinda and James Magala were not spared also as they were stopped. Police has lost all the last three games to SC Villa, Proline and Onduparaka FC conceding nine goals and scoring once.

Mubiru and his staff have left Police FC eighth on league table with 32 points from 26 games, four to climax the season.

The former KCCA FC coach joined Police FC in December 2016 replacing Sam Timbe. He found Police FC 13th on table with just 14 points after fifteen games and they were in relegation battle which they eventually survived.
