KCCA fall to Vipers in Azam Premier League

Vipers SC has stretched their Azam Uganda premier league table lead to 52 after they defeated Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) 3-2.

Following the win against the defending champions, Vipers now have 52 points,three ahead of second placed SC Villa with 49 points, KCCA with 48 points and Onduparaka with 41 points, while Jinja SS has 38 points.

In a hotly contested game played today at Kitende, a brace from Milton Kaliisa and lone goal from Erisa Ssekisambu were enough for Kitende based side to bag the three points.

Mohammed Shaban and Paul Muculezi scored for the KCCA fc side, but this couldn’t save them from the loss.

KCCA fc Head coach praised both sides for their display on the pitch, saying the game was very tough.

“This was a show of probably the best teams in country with better players. We tried to play good football but I think Vipers had a slightly better game”, said Mutebi in a post match press briefing in Kitende.

In Namboole, Police fc lost 5-0 to Onduparaka fc. Vianney Ssekajugo scored a brace with Hassan Mohammed, Moses Ndawula and Ezira Bida scoring once each.

History remains intact for West Nile side, they have lost no game against Police fc since they were promoted to Azam Uganda premier league two seasons now.
