KCCA defeats URA 7-2 in Azam premier league

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC returned to its winning ways after defeating Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) 7-2 in the Azam Uganda Premier League.

In a game played on Tuesday evening at Lugogo, former Onduparaka fc captain and striker Mohammed Shaban scored four goals for the Lugogo based side as midfielder Paul Mucurezi, Allan Okello scored once each to seal KCCA fc win.

A tough first half saw Shaban scortwo goals in the 10th and 43rd minutes while Jimmy Kulaba scored a goal for the URA side. In the second half, KCCA put up yet another spirited fight as Shaban added two more goals before Paul Mucurezi and Allan Okello.

Kyeyune Sayid scored a goal for the URA side in the 83rd minute, but this could not save the URA team.

KCCA FC are now on 48 points, just one point behind table leaders Villa who have 48 points with six games to end the league.

Other title contenders Vipers have defeated relegation battlers Masavu  FC 3-1. Tom Masiko, Pius Wanji and Milton Kalisa each scored once for Kitende based side in a game played at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

In Kavumba, home side Soana fc lost 3-1 to Proline fc. Daniel Isiagi and Gift Ali scored for Proline with Allan Kayiwa scoring once for Soana.

In Bombo, UPDF FC defeated BUL FC 1-0 to bag the three points.

Vipers are now leading the league on goal difference ahead of SC Villa.
Win for UPDF fc and Proline fc has left Mbarara city and Express fc in relegation zone. Express fc are now 15th on league table with 25 points. Mbarara city too on 26 points now occupying the 14th spot are in relegation zone.
