SC Villa’s Muwanga: We are Set for Uganda cup Finals

Villa Park based side SC Villa say they are more than prepared to win the Stanbic Uganda cup finals after thrashing Kampala Junior team (KJT) 3-0 .

In a game played in Lugogo on Sunday, Martin Kiiza, George Ssenkaaba and Ambrose Kirya scored a goal each for the Villa side.

This is the first time SC Villa is getting into semifinal since 2015, after they lifted the title by stopping KCCA fc in the finals.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side has been struggling to make it to the semis ever since.

SC Villa captain Bernard Muwanga says the team is focused on biulding chemistry and ensuring that players work together, adding that it is what Is helping SC Villa to have positive results and hoping for SC Villa to win this year’s Stanbic Uganda cup title.

“We do it as team work. We are worried of no team in semifinal because becoming a champion you must beat every side regardless of its status,” said Muwanga after the game in Lugogo.

KJT goalkeeper Abubaker Yunus said getting into quarter final was an achievement.

KCCA FC and SC Villa are so far the two teams in semifinal waiting for the last two games that involve Kansai Plascon vs Vipers and Synergy vs Proline to decide which other teams qualifying for last four.

KCCA FC are the Stanbic Uganda cup defending champions.
