Rwanda withdraws from East and Central Africa motocross championship

The event is the first on this year’s calendar and over sixty riders are expected to take part.
The biggest rivalry is between Uganda and Kenya who are sharing four and six titles respectively in the last ten years.

Uganda is the defending champion having won the title in Kenya last year.

During the launch, Federation of Motorsports clubs in Uganda president Dusman Okee was present and thanked riders’ parents for their continuous support towards the game of motocross.

“These parents sacrifice a lot to have their kids on track. It is expensive starting from training then to final event,” recounts Okee.

Stave Orland who got injured in Kenya early this year recovered and hope to step on track that day.

Rwanda will not take part in this round after their team traveled to Europe for a tour that will involve some technical skills acquisition in game of motocross.
