The former SC Villa coach has come along with his backroom staff of former URA players Augustine Nsumba, Robert Mukasa and Steven Kiggundu as his assistants and goalkeeping coach respectively.

Ssimbwa worked for URA towards the end of the season on interim basis after the departure of Paul Nkata.

Though Ssimbwa was handed the coaching role, the former Express FC coach will not solely be in charge of recruiting players since this is an activity that involves spending money. However, he is part of technical team to recruit players.

Ssimbwa is well known for not settling with clubs for so many reasons, but on this, he has promised to settle though only under favourable conditions.

Ssimbwa’s last stint as a coach in Uganda was two years ago at KCCA but his contract was terminated due what was called misconduct.
