Al Ahly coach El Badry resigns after loss to KCCA FC


Hossam El Badry has resigned from his position as head coach of Al Ahly following their 2-0 loss to Kampala Capital City Authority(KCCA) FC in their CAF Champions’ League Group A tie at Mandela national stadium.

It has been a tough time for the Egyptian side and coach Barry after his side failed to win any game in the last four games.

According to reports from Egypt, Al Ahly football committee accepted Bdry’s resignation he made while still in Kampala.

His assistant Ahmed Ayoub will now take over on interim basis for their only one remaining league game against Al Masry to be played this coming weekend.

The committee also expected to pronounce itself on when they will announce new Al Ahly head coach after Hossam El Badry.

El-Badry was named as Ahly’s new coach for a third stint in August 2016 after the departure of former Tottenham and Fulham coach Martin Jol.

It is not yet clear where El Badry is headed to next.
